Abu Helal

On this dive spot north of Dahab the reef is shaped to resemble a half-moon (Arabic “helal”) with a nice lagoon for easy entries and exits. Outside the tropical waters of the lagoon there is an immense coral carpet covering the seabed as far as the eye can see. About 300 metres away from the shore divers can look into an amazing canyon which extends to undiveable depths. On the way back to the lagoon you might experience quite a current – make sure you keep enough air in your tank!
