DESERT SAFARIS
The Sinai peninsular has much more to offer than simply
diving the amazing
underwater world.
The views above the water are just as awesome as those
below it and many visitors come back time and time again
in order to view the many different routes that traverse
the desert wilderness.
Sinai is huge and so it is impossible to see the whole
region in just a fortnight. However, it is possible
to get a real feel for the desert by joining a safari
led by local Bedouin and thus get a taste of authentic
Bedouin life and desert dwelling. Our safaris aim to
educate the mind as well as relax the soul and with
this in mind we have a handpicked safari team who can
enlighten trekkers with their inexhaustible knowledge
based on the Bedouin culture and their own varied
experiences in the wilderness.
Apart from the many places of historical interest in
the Sinai, for example St Catherine's Monastery to mention just one, the Sinai desert has
much to offer. The diversity of the landscape is breathtaking;
one minute you can be walking through a narrow wadi
and the next minute you come out into a vast desert
plain awash with wild flowers that perfume the unpolluted
air. There are high mountains, deep canyons, desert
gorges, massive sand dunes and of course the multicoloured
wadis that twist and turn their way across the rocky
terrain.
It is impossible to give an accurate
description of the beauty and the immense feeling of freedom
and tranquillity that the desert inspires. The only way
to really appreciate the landscape is to spend a few
days and star-filled nights out there with nature. So,
hop on a camel or put your walking shoes on and join
a Sub Sinai Safari, we absolutely guarantee that you
will not be disappointed!
